July Weigh-in

I had my weigh in for July today. I was a bit nervous coming off two weeks of no work-outs and stress.
I lost another 5.25 inches and 1 pound (too bad I didn't weigh myself before I gained all the weight from vacation diets. lol). All in all, I am pretty pleased.

Our trip home

Our vacation was so relaxing until the way home.....

Our car was having problems the whole way home. If we turned it off, it would not start again for 30 minutes. It was horrible.

In Oregon we hit a hail/rain storm. We had to pull off the road for about 20 minutes becaue we couldn't see anything.

And then, nine miles into Idaho, we got into an car accident.
We were passing a semi on the left and he began to come over into our lane and push us off the road. We went into the burrow pit on the the left side. My husband then tried to get back up on the road and we went skidding into the right burrow pit and the car turned 180 degrees and we were going backwards down the side of the freeway. Dirt was flying and we were out of control! All I could do was scream, "Jesus, Oh my God, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus." We slammed into the gaurd rail on the dirt side of the freeway.

I was so scared to look back at the kids. I didn't want to see them hurt in the back seat. As I turned around, I saw two white faces with eyes as round as golf balls. They looked at me and started screaming. I jumped out of the car and ran around to the drivers side rear door and pulled them out and we hugged and hugged.

The more I looked around I saw God's divine intervention. The car rested 10 feet shy of a 40 foot drop off, none of us were injured....NOT ONE SCRATCH, and the car is totaled.
My brothers were still in the Boise area and were able to come rescue us off the freeway and take us to the ER. Two hours later at 2 am, we were able to check into a motel to finally get some sleep. We spent all day Monday figuring out a way to get home, because Enterprise did not have a car rental in Boise for us. My parents came and rescued us in the van, took us to dinner and we made the trek home.

Throughout all of this I can feel the love of my Saviour and his arms just wrapping around me and holding me. Yes it is a trial and I can say I serve an AWESOME, amazingly, wonderful and faithful God! He loves ME so much!!!

Visit Grandma and Grandpa

Over the 4th of July weekend, we made a trip to Spokane to visit Grandma and Grandpa. It had been over a year since we had seen them and the last time was not a pleasant visit (Brian's grandma has passed).
It was so nice to sleep in and have no agenda and pressing issues. We took the kids to see Ice Age 3 and Transformers 2. Both were excellent movies! I was able to take the time and get my hair cut and colored. If I hadn't got to do anything else....that would have been enough for me. It was wonderful!!!

We went swimming on Friday at a family friend's house. The kids had a blast. They were jumping off the diving board and letting their heads go under the water. They are not scared at all!
The 4th of July was a great day. We went to Silverwood Theme Park. The park had some great rides for kids and adults. We spent the morning waiting in line for rides. It was getting HOT so we headed to the water park. The water park had neat-o kids area with mini water slides, huge squirt guns, and fountains. The kids played so hard, they fell asleep for 3 hours afterwards. I talked Brian onto the roller coaster called Aftershock. It was the most amazing coaster I have ever been on, but Brian did not enjoy it as much. He ended up feeling sick afterwards. Silverwood had a fireworks show that was choreographed to music. It was beautiful!
It was an absolutely, perfect trip. So relaxing and laid back. We enjoyed ourselves so much....until the trip home.....

Cleaning the Yard- 6/25

I know....I am a bit behind in blog world.

We decided to clean up the yard as a family. We mowed, trimmed hedges, sprayed the sidewalks off. I was spraying the back porch off and I went to take a step off the top stair and slipped and fell on my tail bone. It hurt soooo bad! I started to cry and Tobyn says, "Mommy jump up. Shake it off." I couldn't help but laugh. And, ya know, it made me forget about my "owie."

I went back to working and I heard Brian saying, "What are you kids doing?"

Tobyn says, "Washing our hairs."

Zoe echoes, "Hairs."

Brian, "It won't help to wash you hair in muddy water."

I could resist....I had to take a shot of the muddy "hairs."
